Sister Louise - 100 Years not out!
She was up and ready quite early on
this day.
Four of the Sisters had organised her presents and cards, so she
received them on the day itself. The home was bedecked with flowers,
pictures and balloons, and, when I went in to wish her
a Happy Birthday, she was

visitors, Sister Louise was lucky enough to have Jimmy McGovern and
his friend Percy, both Chelsea Pensioners, who also read at
All present thoroughly enjoyed the sumptuous meal prepared by the
Catering Department, after which we were wonderfully entertained by
Sergio, a talented clarinet player.
To crown the day,
Sister Louise received cards and letters from many people including
the Queen, Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Connor, Ed Balls our local
Member of Parliament and Charlie Dimmock. The Papal Nuncio presented
her with a special Papal Blessing.
This was truly a memorable day which
Sister Louise greatly enjoyed. We look forward to her 101st
Birthday.
